This being my first post, I hope you all allow me to take a moment to appreciate the fact. Deep breath. After a few misfires, movie night went well with committee and members alike enjoying a fine enough flick. As James has been kind enough to enlighten us before, Cinta delivered as promised a movie about love in and around the backdrop of a cinematically choreographed Kuala Lumpur. You won't be seeing any of those 6 pm jams here.
I'm in no position to be comparing Cinta to other recent local movies, seeing as I haven't seen any of them, but what I will say is that Cinta was a refreshing change from other romantic movies that I've been forced to sit through. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that all who attended enjoyed the movie and the socialising, as well as the snacks that were passed around.
Thanks should go to Wai King who bore the brunt of work in setting up the movie.
